Domain Android Apps

Godaddy.com has an Android App designed to help you search for and purchase domains. I personally prefer to do my hosting and domain buying at Hostmonster but for those of you who like Godaddy this app is quick, light, and easy.

If you want to look up the owner of a domain you can also use the Godaddy app which has a WhoIs menu. If you prefer not to use the GoDaddy app you can also use the Whois app by Magma Mobile. There are various WhoIs apps available in the market but this one seems to have the highest rating and I like these developers.

Search Engine Optimization & Keyword Tool Android Apps

There are quite a few SEO apps in the Android Market but most are defective or pointless. Here are a few that are worth their price tag (free).

WebRank SEO. WebRank SEO gives you Website Ranks(Google Pagerank, Alexa Rank and Compete Rank), pages indexed and backlinks in various search engines(Google, Bing and Yahoo). A Search Engine Optimization(SEO) Tool for competitive website analysis. Its the most complete and reliable app of its kind. It even remembers your history, making it easy to check the progress of your websites.

SEO Keyword Checker. This app just quickly checks any website and returns a list of the most common keywords found on that webpage. Its simple but it can be enlightening to discover which words are actually most prevalent on your website regardless of your intentions.

SEO Tips by Brick Marketing. This is essentially an app that gives you access to recent articles and tweets from Web Marketing experts. Much of the content is useful and valuable.

FTP File Transfer Protocol Client Android App

Sometimes it comes in really handy to have a FTP client on my Android phone. Its an easy way to quickly backup a file from my phone to my server or download a file from the server to my phone. All to often clients also send me files that they need transfered or hosted. I prefer AndFTP. AndFTP is a FTP, FTPS, SCP, SFTP client. It can manage several FTP configurations.
